EDWARD PERKIN OF EATON VANCE JOINS JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Waltham, MA (October 20, 2015) Edward Perkin of Wellesley, MA, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Northern New England (JANNE).

Edward is currently Chief Equity Investment Officer at Eaton Vance.  In addition to leading the Equity Department, he is a portfolio manager responsible for buy and sell decisions, portfolio construction and risk management for the firm’s large-cap value equity portfolios. He joined Eaton Vance in April 2014.

Prior to his work with Eaton Vance, Edward served as chief investment officer (international and emerging-market equity) as well as managing director/portfolio manager (Europe, EAFE and global) at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) in London. Before relocating to London in 2008, Edward was a portfolio manager and analyst on GSAM’s U.S. value equity team in New York. Edward was previously associated with FISERV and American Retirement Insurance Services.

“As a freshman and sophomore in high school, I was a student in JA’s Company Program.  I loved it!  It awakened my entrepreneurial spirit and challenged me in new ways.  I look back fondly on that experience and I am excited to be reacquainted with JA,” said Edward.

Edward earned a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

“Edward is a JA alum and brings a personal passion to helping students succeed. We are very fortunate to have him by our side as we seek to continue to impact the lives of tens of thousands of students in our region,” said Kerry Bedard, President of Junior Achievement of Northern New England.
