As a kid growing up in Boston, I remember how much I enjoyed and benefited from the JA experience. There really wasn’t any program like it to introduce kids to the concepts and skills needed in the workforce. Now as an adult, I am so thrilled to be able to apply the skills I learned and serve as a member of the board for this great organization.

Schools can’t do it alone. I’m proud of my affiliation with Junior Achievement. Serving on the local board for this organization, I know I’m helping provide kids in my community with the skills they need to succeed in work and life.

Bill Driscoll, JA Board Chair

Junior Achievement provided me with the opportunity to learn real-world perspectives on managing time, money and how to focus on my personal and professional aspirations. JA provided the foundation that led me to realize the importance of planning for the future. It provided me with the discipline and teamwork needed to thrive in the business world, while instilling the importance of thinking independently. JA showed me that with enough confidence and planning, no goal is out of reach. It has played an important role in getting me to where I am today as I navigate through the Financial Consulting world.

Scott R. Schumacher, JA Alum and Accenture Employee

I believe that the time spent in the classroom teaching the Junior Achievement curriculum is time well spent. Our students are not being taught the basics of money, business and how it affects them and their families. JA is that bridge to the missing component within today’s curriculum. It truly is a blessing to be a part of this great organization and to help make an impact on the youth of our city.
